Submitting Your Manuscript to Sage Publishing
We are currently seeking completed novels or novellas of at least 30,000 words. We will also consider:
Short story collections with a strong central theme
Reprints of previously published works that are now out of print, provided the author holds both worldwide electronic rights and worldwide print rights
We welcome a wide range of genres aimed at Young Adult readers and older. However, we do not accept submissions containing the following:
NC-17 / X‑rated content
Erotica
Self‑published works that are currently available for sale anywhere
Submissions containing any of the above will be automatically rejected.
Terms
We purchase exclusive worldwide electronic and/or print rights to each accepted manuscript. All rights revert to the author if the contract is canceled by either party.
Method of Work
Our publishing process is collaborative and author‑focused. Once a manuscript is accepted and contracted, we work closely with authors through editing, production, and release. All rights revert to the author upon cancellation of the contract.
Manuscript Submissions
Authors are compensated on a royalty basis. Sage Publishing pays a percentage of net sales for both print and electronic editions (minus any transfer fees.

Quarterly royalty payments
